📖10′ Activity 1: We try to guess what will happen by the cover and the title as a prereading activity. We then read the book Sidney, Stella and the Moon by Emma Yarlett about a brother and a sister that refuse to share their toys and they break the moon by accident. Then we discuss about what we liked most in the story
15′ Activity 2: We discuss the phase of the moon and we create the phases of the moon on a cardboard with oreo biscuits, some glue and a spoon.

10′ 🖍Activity 3: Learners draw the phases of the moon or in some cases they paint a worksheet as the teacher of the class suggest (not my first option, but I respect the teachers’ suggestions). In another school, the teacher wanted to teach the phases of the moon herself so I spend some time singing the classic nursery rhyme Hey, diddle diddle and then I asked learners to paint what they liked from the book

🎶3′ Activity 4: We sing and dance Zoom Zoom Zoom, We are Going to the Moon by Scratch Garden

🎬4′ Activity 5: I also show them an excerpt from the movie Despicable Me and I explain the plot about how a villain tries to steal the Moon
