🎶3′ Activity 1: We sing the song If it’s snowy and it’s cold, wear a hat.

If it’s snowy and it’s cold ,wear a hat (x2)

If it’s snowy and it’s cold, and it’s really really cold, if it’s snowy and it’s cold , wear a hat.

Repeat with hat, scarf, boots, mittens or gloves.

We sing that song in the tune of the song If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands.

👩‍🏫5′ Activity 2: We review weather (rainy, sunny, windy, cloudy). I use flashcards to introduce snowy, hat, scarf, gloves, sledge, sad.

📖10′ Activity 3: We look at the cover, talk about Pip and Posy and whether we know them in their Greek version, and then try to guess what will happen on a snowy day. We then read the story and discuss what made an impression on us. I pass the book from one to another, asking to find an animal made with playdough on the last page so as to review animals as well.

🖍10′ Activity 4: We put the events in the correct order, and then we draw something we liked in the book.

🙊5′ Activity 5 : Pantomime game. We are divided into two groups, and one of each group shows an item of winter clothing using only gestures (hat, scarf, mittens, boots)

🎺5′-8′ Activity 6: We sing Five Little Elves, and play The Floor is Lava Christmas edition
