📃5′ Activity 1: I use flashcards to remind colours of autumn, apple, pinecone, nuts, squirrel, hare, pumpkin and introduce caterpillar, sweater, tree, mouse, scarecrow, pie.

🐛10′ Activity 2: We guess what caterpillar will see in its first fall. We read the book (I omit some parts if they are difficult and just describe pictures as simply as possible trying to keep the rhyme, e.g., Ssh! Listen to the wind whoosh! or Here’s a test. Can you find the hare’s nest?)
🎼5′ Activity 3: We pretend to be autumn leaves in the wind and then we sing Autumn Leaves are Falling Down. Next, I introduce a new song Five Little Pumpkins by Super Simple Songs https://youtu.be/trDl36m9pgA?feature=shared

✂️10′ Activity 4: We trace the falling leaves lines and then we use scissors to cut the first two or three lines with the guidance of the kindergarten teacher. We use the “sticker on the thumb” trick to practise cutting with a pair of scissors. Not all students are ready to trace or use scissors, but practice makes better!

📺5′ Activity 5: We watch a short episode of Peppa Pig Windy Autumn Day.

🙊5′ -10′ Activity 6: We discuss what we liked most and try to put the events in the correct sequence ( go to the park, play football, wind blows George’s hat, Mummy Pig shakes the tree, jump up and down in the leaves) We play pantomime but since it is mostly new vocabulary, I just repeat the words myself as many times as possible and only expect them to enjoy the episode and pantomime.
